Print the year in one afternoon
Print twelve attendance sheets in August and file them in a binder β that is the whole year. The work is not hard; it is the recurring interruption that costs, and batching removes it.
The paper record also outlives your gradebook software. A binder of attendance survives a mid-year platform migration without anyone having to think about it.
Laminate what only changes names
The job chart is the clearest case: laminate it once, add Velcro or magnetic name strips, and rotate weekly. Hall passes too β laminate the pass a student carries, keep the log on paper at the door, because the log is the part you write on.
Anything you write on and keep β attendance, reading logs β should be printed fresh. Laminating those just means you throw away the record.
